Per his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon, veteran linebacker Michael Mauti is returning to the New Orleans Saints.
According to NOLA.com’s Josh Katzenstein, Mauti worked out for the Saints on Monday after working out with the Houston Texans on Friday. It’s quite amazing that Mauti has worked his way back to this point after being placed on the non-football injury related list last November due to an ulcerative colitis procedure. It’s a condition that he’s dealt with for years, and it affected his ability to keep weight on.
