Taysom Hill is an icon for the New Orleans Saints. He provided value as a passer, rusher, and receiver throughout his career in the Big Easy. His value was exemplified in what could have been his final home game last week. It’s not definitive he will retire, but if he does, his final game was the perfect send off.
Hill filled up the stat sheet last week with 42 yards rushing, 38 yards passing, 36 yards rushing, and one passing touchdown. He did everything for the Saints who were lacking depth at running back and receiver.
After Sunday’s performance, Hill is the only player in NFL history, in the Super Bowl era, to reach 1,000 yards receiving, rushing, and passing.
