According to Herbie Teope, the Saints brought in free agent LB Josh Mauga for a workout on Monday.
Mauga previously worked out for the Chargers and Texans but wasn’t signed by either team.
Mauga, 30, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada back in 2009. He spent five years in New York before signing a three-year, $8.25 million contract with the Chiefs back in 2015.
Unfortunately, Mauga missed the entire 2016 season after he suffered labral tear towards the end of the preseason. Kansas City decided to release him in August, just one month after re-signing him to a contract.
