Tommylee Lewis won’t be ignored. He came to the Saints last season as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Northern Illinois via a tip to Sean Payton from his old mentor Bill Parcels. It’s amazing how much Parcels still has his ear to the ground and the Lewis tip was a good one.
At 5’7″ and 168 pounds Lewis is a far cry from being a prototypical NFL wide receiver. But he makes plays.
In Thursday night’s preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns the tiny terror had 10 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown. The 10 catches were on 11 targets.
