It would be hard to get much more anticipatory about a preseason game, but for the Saints, kicking off tonight in the first game of the preseason 2019, this one is up there. It’s not so much anything new or different the fans are clamoring to see. They just want to get this one, this season, underway.
We could go so far as to say that this really isn’t about last year and that finish. There’s a crescendo building and the big crash at the end is going to be Drew Brees’ retirement.
