According to Howard Balzer, the New Orleans Saints brought in four tight ends for tryouts on Wednesday including Alex Ellis, Darion Griswold, Henry Krieger-Coble, and Robert Tonyan.
Of this group, the Saints signed Ellis to their practice squad.
The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:

- G Landon Turner
- DB Arthur Maulet
- DT Woodrow Hamilton
- LB Shayne Skov
- G Nate Theaker
- LB Adam Bighill
- TE Alex Ellis
Krieger-Coble, 25, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa back in May of last year.
