A familiar face was back in Saints camp today as the team brought in cornerback Kayvon Webster for a visit. Webster signed in early June and was with the Saints through training camp and the preseason to add depth at cornerback but was released as part of cutdowns at the end of August.
It’s nice to have someone like Webster on speed-dial but the reason for the visit is that the Saints are waiting for word on Eli Apple’s knee. Apple left Sunday’s game in Chicago with what was initially called by the team a hyperextended knee.
