New Orleans Saints linebacker Dannell Ellerbe was off to the side today during the team’s second training camp session in West Virginia. Likely just a little rest for him after recovering from a season-ending hip injury a year ago, it gave rookie linebacker and first-round pick Stephone Anthony a chance to get some repetitions in with the first team.
Coach Sean Payton spoke with media Friday morning, praising Stephone Anthony’s intelligence, as he was in at the “Mike” position communicating and making the calls on defense.
