According to Ian Rapoport, the New Orleans Saints are adding offensive guard Orlando Franklin to the squad on a one-year deal. It was reported on Wednesday that Franklin was in for a visit after seeing the Jets on Tuesday. Rapoport added that the Saints ‘stepped up to the plate’ to make the deal happen.
Franklin, the former second-rounder of the Broncos from 2011’s draft, turned 29 in December. He spent his first four seasons with the team, missing just one game (2013). He then landed with AFC West rival the Chargers on a 5-year, $36.
