We really shouldn’t read too much into the move the Saints made on Monday.
The team signed veteran linebacker Audie Cole who spent the last five months with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Cole is 6’5″, 248-pounds and was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 7th round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State.
A special teams captain while with the Vikings, he will be expected to contribute heavily in that area with the Saints.
In a corresponding roster move, the Saints are reportedly putting reserve tight end Clay Harbor on injured reserve.
