After a solid first week of training camp, the New Orleans Saints were scheduled for a well-deserved day of rest on Tuesday. Well, the players that is. The front office obviously didn’t get the memo. Constantly scanning the list of available players, the Saints added three on Tuesday, July 31. Two veteran wide receivers, Michael Floyd and Brandon Tate, and more offensive line depth with Don Barclay.
The additions at wide receiver should come as a surprise to anybody who’s been following that group in training camp. The Saints are deep there. Michael Thomas, Tre’Quan Smith, Ted Ginn Jr.
