On Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints signed cornerback Michael Davis, while waiving running back Velus Jones Jr. They also signed wide receiver Ronnie Bell and tight end Moliki Matavao to the practice squad.
Michael Davis has been in the National Football League since 2017, when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers. For Davis, it's a reunion with both Brandon Staley and Kellen Moore, as his last year in LA was also theirs.
Following the 2023 season, Davis would switch clubs for the first time, heading to D.C. to play with the Commanders after he and the Chargers failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension.
