WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.VA. — The New Orleans Saints plan to limit safety Jairus Byrd's reps during training camp to ensure he'll be healthy for the 2016 season, and the first sign of their cautious approach came Sunday.
Byrd and a handful of other players missed practice Sunday at The Greenbrier, but he was on the field for the session and didn't look hampered in any way. As he and coach Sean Payton have said, they're going to proceed with caution with the hope that he can finally provide the play the Saints expected when they signed him in 2014.
