Adam Schefter reports that the Saints are releasing backup QB Ryan Nassib on Saturday as they cut their roster down to 53 players.
Nassib, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with New York before signing on with the Saints back in June.
In total, Nassib has appeared in five games and completed nine of 10 passing attempts for 128 yards and one touchdown.
