A report swirled early this morning that the Saints were going to promote cornerback Arthur Maulet to the 53-man roster, and the move has gone down according to the NFL’s Transaction Report for Saturday. Maulet, who tweeted that he was activated during the afternoon, is very likely to suit up against the Panthers on Sunday for Week 3 action.
In addition to Maulet being added, the team also brought up defensive back Justin Hardee from the practice squad. In the corresponding moves, the team released veterans Kendall Langford and Darryl Tapp, who were just added this week.
