The 2019 New Orleans Saints preseason is in the books, finishing with a close loss to the Miami Dolphins in their final exhibition game. A tough effort down the stretch from reserve quarterback Taysom Hill was undone by two dropped touchdown passes and a breakup by the Dolphins on fourth down in the back of the end zone.
Before that, backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater raised eyebrows with two big connections to undrafted rookie wide receivers Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Emmanuel Butler; Humphrey gained 43 yards on his catch-and-run play, which set up a great touchdown connection with Butler just seconds later.
