Former Grambling State running back Martez Carter lived up to his nickname in college. As the most explosive player the G-men put forward in 2017, Carter was “Mr. Excitement”. At the end of his senior season, Carter had amassed a career 2,628 rushing yards with 29 TDs, 961 receiving yards for nine TDs and added 2,319 yards on kick and punt returns with four touchdowns. That’s a total of 5,908 yards and 42 touchdowns. And that’s while seeing little action in his freshman year.
After college, Carter played in the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl and took part in the NFL Scouting Combine as well as a Pro Day for Grambling.
