For most of the time Drew Brees has been quarterbacking in New Orleans, he’s been playing behind some well-drafted, well-recruited and well-coached offensive lines, the guys whose job it is to keep him upright. As anybody familiar enough with the game will tell you, a quarterback can only ever be as good as the talent level of his O-line.
I’d lay odds that Drew Brees remembers the 2013 Season. Brees took the fewest sacks of his career, 13, behind the line from 2008. He gave up 31 in 2015. Still an awful lot. In 2013, Brees was sacked 36 times.
