All season, everyone has wondered if the New Orleans Saints would trade one of their talented young receivers. On Tuesday, hours before the trade deadline the Saints finally answered that question, sending Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks. In exchange for the speedy wideout and explosive returner, New Orleans is receiving a fourth- and fifth-round pick — both in 2026.
This officially ends Shaheed’s time with the Saints, where he carved out a career for himself as an undrafted free agent in 2022. Making the roster as an explosive returner, Shaheed was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl special teams player in 2023, but he really started to break out as a wide receiver in 2024.
