News has hit the NFL transactions wire that New Orleans Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone is being placed on injured reserve and will miss eight weeks. The Saints are already dealing with the similar loss of QB Drew Brees and other reports may continue to come in.
Anzalone had missed some time in the preseason with a shoulder injury and that’s a cause for considerable concern. His shoulders as injury issues have been an ongoing thing since Anzalone’s days at the University of Florida.
He was taken in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has been a good looking player when available.
