In a corresponding move, the Saints opted to steal a veteran signal-caller away from the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad named Trevor Siemian. Siemian, 28, has been a decent backup in his NFL career thus far, but he certainly wasn’t signed to be a starting quarterback.
The signing of Siemian is strictly a move to play things safe in case Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston were to get injured.
Siemian was a highly coveted player by the Tennessee Titans, however, as they purposely kept him out of practices and team gatherings to ensure he was avoiding contracting COVID-19 to the best of his ability.
