Mike Triplett of ESPN reports that the Saints kicked the tires on veteran WR Andrew Hawkins, but they aren’t very interested at this point in time.
This is the first reported interest in Hawkins since he became available a few weeks ago.
It’s worth mentioning that signing Hawkins to a contract won’t impact a team’s compensatory picks, considering that he was released.
Hawkins, 30, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in 2011. He was later claimed off of waivers by the Bengals and spent three years in Cincinnati before signing a four-year, $13.
