The New Orleans Saints joined the other 31 NFL teams in trimming down their roster to 53. One of the cuts was 2023 second-round defensive end Isaiah Foskey. Foskey had been one of the biggest losers of the Saints preseason slate. Truthfully, Foskey has been the point of frustrations for many fans since being drafted.
For Foskey, this is a big fall from grace. In 41 games for the Fighting Irish, besides gathering a school record of 26.5 sacks, he also had 122 total tackles (32 for a loss), seven forced fumbles, and two passes defended. He was also a consensus All-American on top of being a team captain.
