Some fans, casual and devout, take offense to the term Hate Week. This is an event that happens twice a year on the Saints calendar. It’s the week leading up to the Saints facing the Atlanta Falcons. Week 3 of the 2018 Season is Hate Week part one for the Saints and their fans.
Whether you like it or not, Hate Week is part of the fabric of this rivalry and it’s one of the most intense in the NFL. Going back to the 1967 Season when both of these teams entered the NFL, it’s a geographical rivalry and divisional rivalry 51 years in the making.
