It seems like a long, long time ago when Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch was the flavor of the moment, hype pick for the New Orleans Saints in the 2018 NFL Draft. Well, it turns out that hype was mild compared to what’s happening with University of Florida defensive tackle Taven Bryan.
Within the past week, everybody and their mom is tabbing Taven Bryan to the Saints at pick 27 in the upcoming draft. It’s a very odd moment of group think and zeitgeist. Later today, New Orleans TV sportscaster extraordinaire, Fletcher Mackel will be releasing a mock draft with Taven Bryan starring in round one.
