NEW ORLEANS, La. -- New Orleans Saints coach Kellen Moore defended his decision not to use any timeouts in the first half of the Saints 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Both teams had all three timeouts remaining when the Cardinals began an offensive drive with 4:53 left in the second quarter. The Cardinals drove to the Saints' 5-yard line with 1:57 left and then ran the clock down to 28 seconds in the next three plays, one of which resulted in a 4-yard touchdown to running back James Conner to go up 17-10.
