Saints: Can Dan Arnold be the next Jay Novacek?

Sean Payton spoke with the media following the Saints Sunday night practice at Yulman Stadium on the campus of Tulane University. One of the questions asked of him by a reporter regarded the story of wide receiver Dan Arnold who is being converted to tight end.

Arnold came to the Saints as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Wisconsin-Platteville following the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s always played wide receiver and, in college at least, was very prolific. He’s a big, athletic kid at 6-5 and 225-pounds with outstanding ball skills.

The problem with Dan Arnold is trying to squeeze him in on an already stacked roster of wide receiver talent in New Orleans.
