Mickey Loomis, Sean Payton and the rest of the brain trust will trade to open free agency. They'll trade during training camp. They'll trade during the season. Most notably, they'll trade during the NFL draft.
Last year's draft class epitomized the Saints' bartering ways:
- The Saints traded Pro Bowler Jimmy Graham and a fourth-rounder to Seattle for Pro Bowler Max Unger and a first-round pick, resulting in Stephone Anthony.
- They traded Kenny Stills to Miami for a third-round pick.
- New Orleans dealt Ben Grubbs to Kansas City for a fifth-rounder.
