CLEVELAND -- Through two-plus weeks of training camp, it seemed Ryan Nassib was a clear fourth option among the New Orleans Saints' quarterbacks.
But, in the Saints' exhibition loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, Nassib was the most efficient of the team's signal callers, finishing 10 of 14 for 110 yards with the Saints' lone passing touchdown and a 118.2 passer rating.
Impressive as they were, Nassib's statistics weren't the best thing he did Thursday. Nassib, who took over late in the third quarter, had a strong pocket presence and showed poise, particularly when he completed a 16-yard pass to convert a third down while taking a hard hit.
