Saints: Andrus Peat is out, time for Senio Kelemte to shine

The Saints’ 31-26 wild card playoff win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday wasn’t without a little bit of bad news. Left guard Andrus Peat left the game early with what is now known to be a fractured fibula with possible nerve damage. Senio Kelemete finished the game at left guard.

As he’s done throughout his Saints career, Senio Kelemete came in off the bench and provided everything the Saints needed to pull this one out. Sean Payton had rolled the dice and had only seven offensive linemen active against the Panthers. Thankfully, Kelemete was all they would need.
