It wasn’t the bang Saints fans hoped for on Wednesday, Mar. 13, as NFL Free Agency 2019 officially opened. We lost Mark Ingram and gained Latavius Murray. Wil Lutz became the wealthiest kicker in the NFL. Teddy Bridgewater seemed to be locked down but that became an ongoing story. We did find out that the Saints would be meeting a few free agents including defensive end Ziggy Ansah and defensive tackle Mario Edwards as well as free agent tight end Jared Cook.
But it was also announced that Jared Cook would be meeting with the New England Patriots as well.
