There were a lot of moves made by the Saints between Friday, May 10, and Monday, May 13. The team held its first activity of the year hosting rookie minicamp over the weekend. Rookie minicamp isn’t just for rookies though. Other players, invitees, have the opportunity to come in for tryouts. Those include everything from previous camp attendees to journeymen players just trying to catch on somewhere. There are still three slots open on the Saints 90-man roster as evaluations are made to fill that out prior to the start of training camp.
The moves made over the weekend that may have the most effect were bringing in some potential help for the Saints defense and the middle of the defensive line.
