A report from Dan Graziano of ESPN suggested what many New Orleans Saints fans expected: the team hopes for a reunion with longtime running back Mark Ingram, but money could make such a move difficult.
The Saints are still hoping to bring back running back Mark Ingram, but not for much (if any) more than the $4 million or so per year he was making with them on his most recent deal. He’ll check out the market, but he’s got it pretty good in New Orleans.
Ingram’s last Saints contract was far beneath his market value, paying out $16 million over a four-year span.
