Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Delvin Breaux has filed suit against two doctors previously employed by the team, Amie Just and Ramon Antonio Vargas reported for the Times-Picayune
Advocate on Friday.
Breaux’s suit alleges medical malpractice against Dr. Deryk Jones, Dr. Misty Suri, and Ochsner Health System (their employer, through whom they were contracted with the Saints). He claimed that they misdiagnosed a broken fibula as a leg contusion, which played a part in ending his career.
He previously railed against the Saints and coach Sean Payton in media appearances earlier this summer, blaming the incident for ending his NFL career and taking aim at Payton personally for his handling of it.
