COSTA MESA, Calif. -- There's a reason why New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton called a team meeting to address the Delvin Breaux injury fiasco. He knows the team royally screwed up.
First, the team thought Breaux milked a leg contusion. Then, the Saints placed Breaux as a backup on their first "unofficial" depth chart likely as a motivational tool. Less than a week later, news leaked about how the Saints opened the possibility of trading Breaux because of their frustration over the injury.
On Monday, Breaux received a second opinion showing he suffered a fractured fibula on the same leg as last year (not the same injury, though).
