WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — The New Orleans Saints had a special guest on the sidelines at Sunday's training camp practice as Superbowl champion and New Orleans native Peyton Manning took in the teams morning session.
"He had a two-day speaking engagement here and it happened to time up with our camp so he shot me text a few weeks back," Saints head coach Sean Payton said. "It's good having him out here."
Saints safety Roman Harper joked that it wasn't so great having he recently retired quarterback on the sidelines.
"I was still angry because last time I saw him confetti was going on his way," Harper said.
