The New Orleans Saints waived Jake Haener, so Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler as the only quarterbacks left on the roster. The Saints have typically kept three quarterbacks on their roster. This would give the Saints room to add a veteran quarterback. Unfortunately, it's time to put the hopes of Jameis Winston returning to New Orleans to bed after he made the Giants 53-man roster.
The team has been adamant that they don't need a veteran quarterback on the team. They were also adamant about not needing a big bodied wide receiver, then they went and traded for Devaughn Vele.
