After an unsuccessful stint with the now-Los Angeles Chargers, Orlando Franklin thought he found himself a home in the Big Easy. Well, he’s on the road again after being released by the New Orleans Saints less than a full week after he signed with the team.
Joel Erickson of The Advocate reports the six-year veteran has been sent packing, despite the Saints apparent need for depth at the position.
The New Orleans Saints have decided they do not need the services of veteran guard Orlando Franklin after a short tryout in training camp.
Franklin, who was signed on the first day of camp, has been released, according to the NFL’s transactions report.
