A three part series grading out each NFC south teams offseason, including the 2021 NFL Draft, free agency and hires/fires. Let’s start with the Saints rivals in Carolina.
Last season the Panthers poached beloved Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to hopefully become their franchise “guy.” The Carolina Panthers had a disappointing season under first year head coach Matt Rhule, finishing 5-11 and 3rd in the NFC south, awarding them with the 8th overall pick in the NFL draft.
With a long-term vision, the Panthers knew they had to make a change a quarterback. But first they started the offseason by retaining what they think is their franchise tackle in Taylor Moton, placing their franchise tag on him to keep him around for at least another season.
