The New Orleans Saints enjoyed some much-deserved rest during their Week 9 bye, using the time off to visit their old high schools or college teams, taking their kids trick-or-treating on Halloween, or in Cameron Jordan’s case, taking a shot at spotty-at-best NFL officiating with his courtside costume at a New Orleans Pelicans game.
Other Super Bowl contenders and NFL playoff hopefuls weren’t so restful. Two NFC North rival teams were handed surprising losses on the road with AFC opponents, while two squads the Saints put away handily (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals) took the NFC West’s top teams down to the wire.
