New Orleans Saints roster cuts and moves underway, more to come

The New Orleans Saints began their cut down to the 53-man regular season roster on Friday, Aug 30, the moves being announced by executive vice president and general manager Mickey Loomis and reported by John DeShazier of NewOrleansSaints.com. The first wave held only one or two cuts who could be considered surprises, players who were on the bubble and might have gone either way.

The first group has been former LSU wide receiver Travin Dural, rookie defensive lineman Corbin Kaufusi out of BYU and offensive lineman Fisayo Awolaja. Veteran running backs Jacquizz Rodgers and Kerwynn Williams had their contracts terminated.
