New Orleans Saints: Impact of Cam Newton going to IR

Cam Newton was certainly not having a spectacular season, sitting most of the games since week one with a foot injury. However, that does not change the fact that he is a dominant player. The New Orleans Saints play the Carolina Panthers twice in the second half of the season.

With Cam Newton now out indefinitely, the Saints can focus their attention on stopping the passing game of Kyle Allen. They do not have to worry or wonder about which quarterback will be under center come time for the divisional rivalry.

The Panthers, who currently sit at 5-3, now will have to ride Kyle Allen to try and fight the New Orleans Saints for their top spot in the NFC South.
