New Orleans Saints' Andrus Peat carted off with ankle injury

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans Saints guard Andrus Peat was carted off the field with an ankle injury just before halftime of Sunday night's game against the Green Bay Packers.

He was ruled out in the third quarter.

Peat was helped up by athletic trainers after being looked at on the field for a brief time.

Peat, a first-round draft pick in 2015, signed a five-year, $57.5 million contract extension with the Saints this offseason. He has started 68 games in six seasons, primarily at left guard, making the Pro Bowl as an alternate in each of the past two seasons.
