The New Orleans Saints left their fan base stunned following their first-round selection of Cesar Ruiz, but they made the correct pick looking back at it. While many wanted Patrick Queen, an LSU linebacker, Payton decided to shore up the offensive line.
The Saints entered the 2020 NFL Draft with a few obvious needs at wide receiver, linebacker, and quarterback amongst other things. While they really only filled a few of them, the Saints are still likely to be active in finding talented undrafted free agents.
