Going into this offseason, the New Orleans Saints have a lot of questions looming over their head. They need help in the wide receiver and cornerback areas. They have three quarterbacks that are free agents so none are rostered.
They also have further questions surrounding other player positions that will need to be upgraded — like Andrus Peat on the offensive line. On top of all of those questions, the 2017 draft class is now eligible for contract extensions off of their rookie contracts.
According to the NFL, “Rookie contracts for draft choices can’t be renegotiated or changed in any way until the regular-season finale of the contract’s third year.
