Growing up, Doug Williams never thought about playing in the NFL, much less leading a team to victory in the Super Bowl and etching his name as a Super Bowl MVP.

But in the 28 years since, not a day has gone by that he hasn’t remembered it.

“Every day, you get up and some kind of memory comes to you as far as the Super Bowl is concerned,” said Williams, who led the Washington Redskins to a 42-10 rout of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII. “Every guy who played in the NFL has the ultimate goal of playing in the Super Bowl.
