A Louisiana-based restaurant chain co-owned by the NFL's Drew Brees is looking to make a push in the Southeast, and Alabama is one of its targets.
Baton Rouge's Walk-Ons Bistreaux and Bar plans on opening a location later this year in the Mobile area.
Jami Zimmerman, vice president of public relations for Champion Management, said several locations are being planned along the Interstate 10 corridor and in parts of Tennessee, and Mobile is part of those plans.
The Walk-On's website lists the location as 3673 Airport Blvd., Mobile, AL 36608.
"In terms of states we are opening in during 2018, we are confirmed to open locations in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi," Zimmerman said.
