The 2017 production of the New Orleans Saints had a few openings after encountering the injury bug in the first two weeks of the season.

After auditioning eight defensive linemen, among other positions, on Tuesday, the team decided to give the role to 10-year veteran defensive linemen Kendall Langford, signing him to a one-year deal.

Langford was selected in the third round (66th overall) in the 2008 draft by the Miami Dolphins, where he played four season before signing with the then St. Louis Rams. He had 141 tackles and 7.5 sacks with Miami, and made 101 tackles and eight sacks in three seasons with the Rams.
