The former NFL quarterback's family confirms his death due to complications from colon cancer.
Former NFL quarterback legend Kenneth "The Snake" Stabler passed away Wednesday, July 8th from complications due to colon cancer. He was 69 years old.
Despite some confusion and reports saying Stabler was still alive, his death was confirmed by his ex-wife and family.
Stabler spent most of his career with the Raiders, during which time he earned a Super Bowl championship, 4 Pro Bowl nods, and was an All-Pro once. He joined the Saints in the twilight of his career, from 1982-84.
