Veteran cornerback Kayvon Webster was in Saints camp last Wednesday, June 5 for a tryout. According to an early tweet from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, he’ll be signing with the Saints today.
Webster was in last week along with free agents Coty Sensabaugh and Prince Charles Iworah in what looked to be purely a move to add depth to the roster at outside corner. No one left with a contract.
The presumptive starters before training camp starts are Marshon Lattimore and Eli Apple. But after a strong enough rookie season to earn NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017, Lattimore dropped off steeply in 2018.
